Highlights of Events in May/June - Press Club


The months of May and June have been thrilling for the students of Ray Jacobs Boarding School with lots of exciting programmes to keep them well educated and entertained. These activities were also aligned to stengthen inter-communal relations among the students and people outside the school environment.

Ray Jacobs Students clinch March Past Awards

On 27th May, 2017 which happened to be the Children's Day celebration throughout Nigeria, the Ray Jacobs March past teams attended the march past competition organized by Oru West Local Government. The Ray Jacobs team took the first position in the nursery, primary and secondary school categories.




Children's Day Party Celebration

Still on the children's day, a party was thrown for the Ray Jacobs Students with lots of dance, singing and special presentation from the students. A special menu of food and drinks were prepared for all students

Ray Jacobs Catholic Choir Thrills St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Angelic Voices

The Ray Jacobs catholic choir stormed St. Joseph Catholic Parish on 28th May, 2017 at the sacrament of communion for first timers who had successfully completed their catechism. The congregation that was present showered them with gifts.

An Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps Enlightens Students on The Agency's Functions

An FRSC staff officer for public enlightenment Imo State Command, Commander Chibuike Ani visited the Ray Jacobs Students on Nigeria Democratic day, 29th May. He enlightened the students on the functions of the FRSC and ways the students can help the FRSC to effectively carry out to their duties.



Ray Jacobs Stars Vs Maris School Team

To boost inter-school relations, the Ray Jacobs Stars had a football competition with the Maris school team on the 2nd June 2017, at Mgbidi Boys Secondary School field playground at 2:30pm. It is interesting to note that the Ray Star thrashed the visiting team 3-0 still maintaining their unbeaten run. We are also expecting a competition between the female volleyball team and another school's volleyball team soon.



Ray Jacobs Carnival

The School will soon be organizing a carnival for the students of Ray Jacobs Boarding School. It’s expected to be a day packed with series of activities and presentations. The students have been empowered to handle the organization of the carnival under the guidance of staff. We look forward to this and know it would be a memorable event
